Creative Practitioner (North Somerset)
Hours: 22.5 per week (3 days)
Salary: OTR Band B | Starting salary 23,945 pro rata
Contract Type: Fixed term to October 2022

We are looking for a dynamic and inspiring practitioner to coordinate and deliver a range of exciting programmes of music, arts and creative across Secondary schools in the Weston area of North Somerset.
The Creative Practitioner will focus on offering young people opportunities to improve their wellbeing through connecting to each other, their communities and the things that make them feel good and they enjoy, using arts and other creative interventions.
The successful candidate will be energetic and inspiring with a strong knowledge of and personal practice within the arts as well as experience working with young people and mental health. You will be able to critically engage with issues relating to mental health; understanding it within a social and political context and developing programmes that respond accordingly.
You will be excellent at building working relationships with external stakeholders and will be able to create and deliver engaging and thoughtful workshops and programmes for groups of young people across the target area, ensuring that the offer engages with young people who are more likely to face barriers when trying to access support.
